PANDAN TOWN FIESTA

Five days more to go!!!… Countdown… 5…!!!… 4…!!!… 3…!!!… 2…!!!… 1(one…one…one… one… with echo bay)…!!!… Pandan, here we come...!!!..... "Araguy, amo gid tana ran ang singgit it mga Kyapnets. Gapangarabot asta sa langit! Ran tana!"

The town of Pandan always celebrates its annual town fiesta from 21st to 25th of April in honor of Saint Vincent Ferrer, Pandan's patron saint. This year 2001, many Pandananons are going home to Pandan to join their relatives and friends to celebrate the town fiesta. Aside from seeing their families, one of their objectives is to be able to help their townmates especially the youth by sponsoring programs and projects.

Pandan Antique Foundation has lined up several activities for this year's fiesta celebration. Supporters of the foundation from all over the world have been preparing and looking forward for the forthcoming events. Thus, we are inviting you to join us in celebrating the town fiesta in Pandan, Antique, Philippines.

PANDAN: AN ECOLOGICAL WONDERLAND

The picturesque seaside town of Pandan in Antique is the setting for "Dasigay Bugsay" - the annual Pandan Boat Rowing Competition. Coinciding with the town fiesta on April 24, 2001, the inaugural staging of the race is a milestone in Pandan's history.

It also promises to be a landmark event that puts the spotlight on Pandan as a new sporting, ecological and tourist destination in Western Visayas.

What does Pandan offer the visitor? For starters, the town lies at the heart of the Northwest Panay Peninsula, one of the richest and most biologically diverse natural environments in the country.
